2006 Charter Oak Monte Rosso Old Vine Hillside Zinfandel, Sonoma Valley
From vineyards planted during Grover Cleveland’s first term in the 1880s, this wine offers luscious blackberry and wild raspberry with loads of exotic spices and indigenous bramble and is elegant in style with a smooth blackberry satin finish. This is a bold Zinfandel of massive proportion. Yields were approximately 1.5 tons per acre. Only 275 cases produced. |

2006 Charter Oak Estate, Napa Valley, ZinfandelThis is a big, thick, juicy, jammy blackberry-scented Napa Valley Zinfandel, including fruit from Charter Oak vineyard, with layers of lush fruit and well-integrated toasty French oak. The blend is Old Vine Petite Sirah from the historic David Fulton Vineyard in St. Helena for added muscle and Zinfandel from the famed Monte Rosso vineyard for added spice. This is black balanced ooze in a glass with a silky and satin finish. Aged exclusively in French oak burgundy barrels.
