The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage has been rated Classic by wine writers (96-100 points). Critics that have tasted the 2016 Uncle George will testify it is the best Cabernet to touch their lips. It is no wonder that it took me over 20 blending tasting trials to perfect and tweak the harmonious blend of 75% Rutherford Bench Cabernet Sauvignon along with generous additions of sought-after Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Dark majestic in color and of noble and royal character. Oozing with black cherry, dark red rose pedal, and swirls of raspberry-scented chocolate mousse. Following a lovely sweet, soft entry, flavors on the palate suggest a very solid core of black currant, ripe red cherry pie, black licorice, with dark red fruit liquor overtones. A lingering smooth, silky and satin finish is highlighted by an orchestra of exotic swirling black cassis fruit flavors. Artistry in a bottle.
